Tower expansion
Buy when: Your placement slots are full and every new block idea has nowhere to go. Expansion only pays once you can actually fill the new space with earning pieces.

Quick answer: Cash compounds through placed blocks and the three upgrade tracks; Gems come from quests and codes and only spend in the Trendy Shop. Run the five checks below before every purchase. Checked 2026-10-03.
Build an ASMR Tower runs on two currencies that never mix, and every money mistake in this game is ultimately a mix-up between them. Cash is the tower wallet: placed blocks earn it passively through the collection station, and it buys tools plus the three upgrade tracks. Gems are the cosmetics wallet: quests, codes and Robux are the only sources, and the Trendy Shop is the only sink — it sells exclusive blocks and cosmetics the Cash vendors never stock, like keyboard packs and the glass and slime ASMR keys the fan wiki showcases. Treat them as separate budgets: a Trendy Shop purchase never speeds up your Cash engine, and no amount of idle Cash ever buys Trendy stock.
| Currency | Earned by | Spent on |
|---|---|---|
| Cash (Money) | Placed ASMR blocks generate it passively; the collection station in front of your build area banks it, and it keeps filling while you are away or offline. | Buying ASMR tools from the vendor shops and paying for the three tower upgrade tracks (expansion, placement limit, collection storage). |
| Gems | Completing in-game quests (the quest NPC stands next to the Gem Shop), redeeming codes, or buying them with Robux. | The Trendy Shop, which sells exclusive blocks and cosmetics that the regular Cash vendors do not. |
Source basis: Sportskeeda's July 31, 2026 beginner guide documents the collection station; Dexerto (September 2, 2026) and allthings.how (September 8, 2026) both describe Cash as the passive tower income. Dexerto: Gems are the premium currency and codes are the main free source; Sportskeeda ties quest completion to Gem payouts. Both rows checked 2026-10-03.
Sportskeeda's beginner guide (July 31, 2026) documents three tower upgrade types. No public source publishes their prices, so the decision framework below uses your own gameplay pattern instead of fake costs.

Buy when: You are shelf-capped: the restock keeps offering pieces you cannot place. Each new slot is a straight multiplier on your income engine.

Buy when: You play in bursts — school, work, overnight. Storage is the difference between eight idle hours banking Cash and banking nothing.

Every placed ASMR tool generates Cash passively, and the collection station in front of your build area banks it — continuously, including while you are offline (Sportskeeda, July 31, 2026). Placement location does not change the rate, so the only income variables are which blocks you own, how many slots you fill, and whether the bank is upgraded enough not to cap.
Run the assistant above for your situation, then check the pattern: if shops keep offering pieces you cannot place, buy placement limit; if you leave the game for hours at a time, buy collection storage; if both are fine, buy the best earning block the current restock offers.
Two ways, both documented: quests (the NPC next to the Gem Shop pays Gems on completion) and codes — VERSION7 and QUESTUPDATE pay 25 Gems combined per the eight-outlet tracker agreement recorded on the codes page, rechecked 2026-10-03. The redeem box unlocks after roughly 30 minutes of playtime.
No — the assistant makes your next decision transparent instead. For projections, the calculator page documents the earning math (your collection rate × minutes, the five-minute restock clock, upgrade payback) without inventing per-block rates.
